Many of us had moments growing up when Mom prescribed a home remedy to better our health. Most remedies in the Valentine Household came from food. I can only assume this is because we were a big Italian family that loved to eat. Any excuse to enjoy ourselves a little more was always welcome.
Mom, it’s time for me to return the favor, as I found a few studies that highlight food with medicinal purposes.
Pickled Foods: Probiotic foods such as yogurts, sour pickles, Kiefer, soft cheeses, and miso soup help treat antibiotic-associated diarrhea.
