VideoMedicine PatientRegardless of the “why” in your choice of VideoMedicine as a viable care option, the “how” is what should really be focused on to insure you get the best care possible.

Some tips to consider to help ensure that you receive the best care possible:

  • It is the patient who is responsible for initiating appointments, not the provider.
  • Make sure that your medical history is as accurate and up-to-date as possible.
  • Utilize our image messaging feature to send high resolution x-rays, photographs, & documents to your VideoMedicine provider to help them better evaluate your condition.
  • If you are having trouble finding a provider, contact a VideoMedicine representative for assistance! You can reach us via email at or by telephone at (800) 977-9651.
  • If you need a prescription refill or are looking for a clinical diagnosis, it is wise to contact a provider who is licensed in your state of residence. Only doctors who hold a valid medical license in your state will be able to treat you clinically or prescribe medications unless you have established a doctor/patient relationship. Out of state calls are usually approached in an “educational” manner. This means that the provider will be able to answer questions for you and/or offer treatment suggestions, but not an official clinical diagnosis.
  • In respect of your physician’s time, please arrive promptly to all appointments.
  • Our platform offers an option for patients to display their profiles in anonymous mode. This helps protect the privacy of our patients, but can also cause roadblocks in treatment if not used properly. Going “anonymous” automatically hides your identity and medical information from the providers you wish to connect with, thus making it difficult for doctors to make the best diagnosis.
  • Before you make a call, please make sure you have a strong cellular connection or internet signal.
  • Make sure your VideoMedicine app is always up-to-date.
  • Invite your own provider to our platform! VideoMedicine boasts a wide range of specialties from mental health to acupuncturists to primary care physicians. If your doctor is not on our network and you’d like for them to be, let us know, and we’ll contact them.
